Turn Curse into Blessing
Act 28:4-6  The people of the island saw it hanging there and said to each other, "A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live." But Paul shook off the snake into the fire and was unharmed. The people waited for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. But when they had waited a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and decided he was a god.

When you are honoring God, he will keep you from harm. Many may think you are undergoing such curse, but curses are God's way of making his glory known. CURSE turned into a BLESSING.
The unexpected are always God's way of telling us that ALL IS POSSIBLE to Him. He is the God of all possibilities. Nothing is impossible to Him.

Act 28:7-10  Near the shore where we landed was an estate belonging to Publius, the chief official of the island. He welcomed us courteously and fed us for three days. As it happened, Publius's father was ill with fever and dysentery. Paul went in and prayed for him, and laying his hands on him, he healed him. Then all the other sick people on the island came and were cured. As a result we were showered with honors, and when the time came to sail, people put on board all sorts of things we would need for the trip.

God takes us to places where we can be a blessing. We are sent to places where we can show God's healing power. It may be physical healing, emotional or spiritual.
And many people will honor you, because you are doing God's purpose.

Act 28:26-27  'Go and say to my people, You will hear my words, but you will not understand; you will see what I do, but you will not perceive its meaning. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes- so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.'

Many will hear but will not understand.. And when they do not understand, it will be difficult for them to believe. Many will have hard hearts and deaf ears. They cannot turn to Jesus, thus He cannot heal them.

Act 28:30-31  For the next two years, Paul lived in his own rented house. He welcomed all who visited him, proclaiming the Kingdom of God with all boldness and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

When you press on what you are called to do… NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO STOP YOU. No one will ever try.

PROMISE

1. When God is with you, he will protect you.
2. God will turn curses into blessings.
3. There is honor when you honor God.
4. We are brought to places not "just because" but he sent us for a purpose. There is always a purpose for everything.
5. When we turn to Jesus, we are being healed.
6. When you do things of God, no one can ever stop you.

COMMAND

1. Always hold on to God. Trust Him always and he will protect you and keep you from harm. Things may be difficult, but he will take you through.
2. Trust that he takes curses and turns it into blessings. :) He always make the impossible HAPPEN. Not because so we can brag about ourselves, but so we could brag about God.

WARNING

When you do not turn to Jesus, you cannot be healed. He cannot do miracles in your life. Why? Because you do not understand.. And you do not believe.

APPLICATION

1. Honor God NO MATTER WHAT.
2. Continue healing and sharing God's word, NO MATTER WHAT.
3. Do not let anything to stop me from doing my purpose.

Perseverance In Winning

Act 26:28-29  Agrippa interrupted him. "Do you think you can make me a Christian so quickly?" Paul replied, "Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that both you and everyone here in this audience might become the same as I am, except for these chains."

Wherever Paul went, he was there to testify. Not for himself, not JUST to defend his cause and himself from the accusations of all the others… he was there to testify ABOUT JESUS.

His encounter was so real that he can't stop talking about Jesus and telling everyone about his personal encounter with him. He was always on the WINNING MODE. He wants to convince everyone that JESUS is real. That what he experienced were true and that everybody can benefit from it.

Paul even faced kings and rulers. And he shared the same thing. HE WAS PERSISTENT. HE WAS CRAZY FOR JESUS.

PROMISE

God gives us opportunity to face kings and rulers in our time today, not just for the sake of meeting them… but for the sake of really sharing Jesus. We are where we are for a purpose.

Proverbs 22:29
A man chosen by God will serve before Kings and not just ordinary men.

COMMAND

1. Wherever you are, you are called to TESTIFY about JESUS.
2. Always be reminded of your encounter with Him, and have that as your weapon towards opposition.
3. Be crazy for Jesus.

WARNING

It will not be easy, it will always be challenging. Facing kings are not easy, but they are worth it. Without persistence, perseverance, you can never stand such calling.

APPLICATION

We are called to face before KINGS and RULERS. We are to testify before BIG men and women in the industry. We are called for the professionals and the great men and women of our time. Many people may reject us, but we must persist. Persevere in sharing God, in sharing JESUS.

Act 19:32  Inside, the people were all shouting, some one thing and some another. Everything was in confusion. In fact, most of them didn't even know why they were there.

The Ephesians had their own God, Artemis. But when Jesus was introduced to them, some believed but some kept their faith. Why? Because of practicality. Not because they really understood what Jesus really did, but because they will lose their BUSINESS. They were SELFISH. And with this, two gods led people to confusion.

SELFISHNESS => Too many gods => Confusion => RIOT

When we are selfish, we create another god. It can be any of the following: ourselves, money, talent, career, others. And when we create another god, we also create confusion not just to the people around us, but to ourselves. And confusion is not from God. Our God will never cause confusion. He is the God who makes everything clear. He is the God that is SURE.

When we are sure of who our God is, everything else will be clear.

PROMISE

Jesus is the God of clarity. He brings clarity to everything; and when we allow Him to be our ONLY ONE TRUE GOD, everything else will be clear for us as well.

COMMAND

  1. Say NO to selfishness. Life was not given to revolve around YOU. It is not about YOU all the time. Don't make a god out of yourself.
  2. Don't have OTHER GODS. Don't put anything else or anyone else above God. Don't form any other God that Himself.
  3. Don't allow confusion in your life. Be set free! Have clarity in everything you do, in every intention.

WARNING

Being selfish is creating another god, and this will cause confusion in your life. You would not know who to follow and what you really should be doing. When there is confusion, something is wrong.

APPLICATION

  1. Say NO to selfishness. Do not be selfish and desire more of God's will than yours.
  2. Do not make too many gods out of my desires, money, career, friends, relationships, human love. Nothing else will be greater than God and His love.
  3. Do not lead anyone to confusion, be clear everything out in my life. SAY NO TO CONFUSION.
